Porting the intake manifold on 6.2L/L92

shiii i think your cam would do better with a 3600-3800 that 4400 is going to be **** as a DD imo. just saying..id think about it. 1/4 mile wise yeah it'd murder the e.t but you wont have much mph

I realize this thread is about 6 months old but it is a worthy subject for me to post in... I have a AWD TBSS that had the truck intake on it and I drove it around for about 6 weeks or so .... I put it on a dyno and got 446 AWHP and 454 AWTQ ...we then switched over to a Lingenfelter LS3 P&P intake manifold off of a new vette with only 124 miles on it , we slapped it on the same day and the new #'s were 466 AWHP & 473 AWTQ. I do realize that the longer runners in the truck intake are supposed to get the 5000 lb brick off the line quicker but most guy's are running 3600 vigs or 3600 yanks so there really is not any reason to worry about torque down real low , the vig or yank will get you to that sweet spot.
My best 1/4 mile time is to date 12.27@112 with a 1000 to 1500 foot DA and all full weight . I did spin all 4 tires for about 5-10 feet but with a little better traction I should hit the 11's with some sealevel DA.

How much did the Lingenfelter ported LS3 intake cost? Are you using a car accessory drive system? I have been looking at doing this on my truck for quite some time, but was told it cant work with the truck accessories because the throttle body on the car intake is so much lower than on the truck.

famous quote ive heard all my life.
"speed is money, how fast do you wanna go"
it is lower but id wait on Skeet to post pics of his intake set up. he's running it on a GMT800 but with the LS3 top end.
you mught be able to find Skeets setup in the show and shine im not sure.

you'll have to go with an fbody warter pump ( car intake ) move the idler pully to the center location of the alt/pwr s.b, modify the alt/pwr bracket.. oh yeah and space out the water pump and idler pully out 3/4-7/8ths of an inch

wow seems like too much work for me lmfao!
doesnt someone make the water pump spacers with longer bolts? i cant remember where i read that. what do you mean modify the bracket like trim some off? any pics of how your idler pulley is mounted? thanks for all the input Skeet!

Yeah, that does sound like a lot of work to change a manifold! I still have VVT on my truck, so I would need water pump spacers to fit over the VVT timing chain cover. Someone makes them though, because I was looking at a Meziere W/P a while back and was told I needed to use spacers with that.

i bought a used fast LSXR... and when i installed it i needed fuel rails as well as injectors i think i didnt have waterpump clearance as well.. i didnt want to go through all the hassle so i sold it, made a few bucks i think fast will release an L92 intake soon so ill be going for that hopefully..
