Problem with my drop
I've got the mcg 4/7 drop on my truck but with the wheel and tire combo I ran (305/40 22) it was too low in the back. I was bottoming out in the rear on the inside of the fenderwell. I was told that the rear suspension on the nnbs was weak and that if I added an add-a-leaf I would not notice the ride difference. Well I don't bottom out now but the whole truck rides like crap. Even the front is pretty harsh. My question to everybody is If I ordered the shackles to bring it up to 6 inches of drop in the back correctly, will it smooth out my ride and still prevent me from bottoming out??? (wow my fingers hurt!lol)

I did this on my crew cab 08" Sierra TEX-Ed
Same drop, same issues ! Simply put the shocks suck azz! they do not even belong matched up with this kit.
So how did I fix this ? Well being old school I remembered how I use to lift my 70" SS 396 Camaro with a set of air shocks.
Went down to Auto Zone and picked up a set of Gabriel hi-Jackers
"part # 49155. This will level you out and also give you a smoother ride.
One other thing is to relocate the brake line bracket that is attached to the diff and move it just under the mounting bracket. this is what hits the underside of the bed on the truck first.
P.S. I don't have any bump stops and the shocks do a good job of not letting the wheels rub.
