Question Question about torque management

The CTS-V has 551 LB/FT torque. No trucks have that much. Both have 6L90E. Why are trucks TM'ed?

trucks have 6l80e.
trucks have tm to reduce drivetrain loads during shifts and therefore warranty claims related to hard shifts,
t/m is not related to vehicle control.
