Default RCSB Z-71 3-5 lowering advice

Hey Guys, been lurking around here for awhile reading all I can find on lowering one of these trucks. I have a 2007 4x4 that I want to lower. We have harse winters, and I use this truck to haul and tow so I don't want to go too low. I am thinking 3-5 should do it. Where/what would you buy? I live in Winnipeg, Canada and will go to the US border to pick up the parts. I'd like to buy from one Vender, but maybe mix up the brands. Maybe Ground Force spindles with Bell Tech Struts in the front (2 plus 1) and a McGaughys Flip Kit in the rear?

What do you think?

Lift it, put some nice mud tires.. that's the best advice.. unless your rcsb is packing so much power that you will use the 4wd for better traction at the track, and by power I mean running 11s or so then go ahead and drop it... I see it very pointless when someone gets a beautiful 4x4 like yours and drop it, you take the purpose away of having a 4x4... if you wanted a truck to drop you should have gotten a 2wd and get about 2-3 mpg better while you're at it. .. that's just my advice

Just because you like lifted trucks does not mean he does. He didn't ask for your opinion.

I have a mcgaughys kit on my AWD lowered Z71.

I think a 3/5 would be pushing it depending on how much you tow or haul.... But I would think with a bag helper kit it would be ok. Have you thought about maybe just going 2/4?

My advice, drop the back first and see how you like it. When I dropped the back of mine 3" inches is was almost perfectly level and I really liked the look of it. Right now I'm at 2/3 and like it even more, but if you end up happy at 0/2 or 0/3 then you can save yourself a lot of money and work.

And welcome from Ontario

Hey guys, thanks so far!! I will probably do the helper bags on the rear because sometimes I do load up the box. I have a feeling that if I only do a 2-4 drop I will want more in the future and then will have to start over in the rear. Anyone deal with Stylin Trucks? They seem to have all the brands. I'm leaning towards either McGaughys or Ground Force spindles and DJM rear flip kit. From there I might trim the coils for an extra inch. What do you guys think?

BTW my rear is currently 3" higher than the front.

I have 2/3 on my 4x4 but it doesn't really look low unless parked by a stock truck.
3/5 is probably what you what.
G/f are best spindles and add a one inch spring.
I'm not sure on the best way to get 5 in the rear.

Styin is a good place to buy, but fiqure out what you want and try a local shop.
Sometimes freight and brokerage fees add up.

There's nothing really local. I think Stylin has free shipping anywhere in the U.S. so I'd have it shipped to the border and pick it up. Does anyone have any experience with the Summit Racing spindles? They look like Ground Force but cheaper.

I have heard of people having issues with CV angles with anything over 2" in the front of the NNBS 4x4. I will be doing a 2/5 myself.
