Default EVERYTHING INSTALLED!!! Readylift 4", 275/60/20 with ONLY 5" BS

I am looking to give my 2010 GMC 1500 a slight lift and bigger tires. On top of this 4.56 gears.
Readylift says i need 5.5-5.25" of back spacing but mickey thompson does not make a 20x9" classic wheel with that, only 5" of back spacing. Will this be a major problem? I really do not want tire rub nor do i want to cut my fender well - its brand new, can not see doing that - yet...

Any problems?
Also if anyone has the 4x4 readylift 4" on a 2007+ 1500 truck, how do you like it?
Better lift kit out there?

well its actually the less back spacing the better of you will be... i run a 17x9 with 4.75" back spacing... you'll be fine with a 275.. we erun that on our NNBS when we had just a lil 1.55" leveling kit.

Less back spacing means the wheel will pull in closer to the fenders? More back spacing means the farther they stick out?
Do i have this backward?

just get the Rough Country 5" kit and enjoy the super flat CV angles, I have read nothing but good about the RCX kit and if you ever wanna go up more down the road you can just throw a spacer up front and get a bigger block in the back. This will be the kit I go with when I eventually lift my truck

Only problems I have heard from Readylift guys is after they are done its not big enough for them and they end up spending a ton of money trying to go bigger. If you only ever want to run a 275/60/20 you may be able to run a leveling kit like mine w/o rubbing, not sure tho

I think that is backward back spacing to my understanding is measured from the mounting point to the inside of the rim (facing the inside of the fender well). So the more back spacing the more the rim will tuck. I think 5in will be fine and with the 275 it should stay in the fender well with out sticking out.

I was looking at the link you posted and I assume the kit uses spacers? I was looking at the superlift 6in kit but it says you will have to trim to run 35s. The local offroad shop said I should go with the 8in but I thought that maybe a little to high. I have plenty of time to decide because it will be after the first of the year before I go any higher and get new wheels.

Well the 5" kit is a true 5" lift, I believe. The 7.5" kit is the same as the 5" but with front spacers to get the extra 2.5"s EDIT: NM the 5" kit has strut spacers as well

OP: here is a leveled setup just to give you an idea

I will just do a 2.25" leveling kit from Readylift or another brand? I like the idea of the Rough Country 5" but that might be a little much for a 4.8. lol

EDIT: what about Rough Country 3" lift? Anyone ever done that? 5" is too much and i was already questioning 4" lift.

Please stay away from the Rough Country 3".. I know it says on their site they redesigned it but from what I have read ppl are still having problems with suspension parts rubbing or not getting a proper alignment.

I would recommend the Top Gun Customz 2.5" kit to ya, that is what I have on my truck for 5k miles and I love it... you can hardly tell the difference in ride quality and I cleared my 295/55/20s pretty easily... it did rub a tad at first when I backed in my driveway but I trimmed a tiny little piece off the inner fenders (I will get you a pic of it when I get home) and after that didn't have any problems. These tires I am running measure out just under a 33x12.5.

here is a pic of my CV angles just for reference, this is pre-alignment

and my fender measurements are 40" all the way around so it pretty much put me exactly level. this is my kit
