already went through all the trouble of buying remotes off of ebay and hoping to get them programmed for cheaper, well it didnt work! You need to order the kit ($195) which comes with two key fobs and a code label, this code label is taken by the dealership which will call gm techlink and and give them this code, gm techlink will then send them a program which will be downloaded onto the dealerships computer which then in return they can reflash your pcm and give you all the security update and everything you need! Believe me dont try to take the cheapest way i already failed and i learned the hard way! so im goin to buy the kit and take it to the dealer for them to program it!

Go buy a good viper or clifford the range on the factory remote start sucks compared the ones listed above. But yes you could just buy the kit and it will work provided your truck is optioned with the AU0 code on the rpo label in the glove box
