Great information! A sticky with the driveshaft issues both 1 piece and 2 piece should be shown. Maybe we can start a poll on who has broken a drive shaft and what kind was it (one piece/two piece) just to see the trend and add that to the sticky!

I've had my 2 piece shaft up to some crazy speeds. I believe the one piece is the one most people break on the dyno. It should be a sticky so people will see this, I figured everyone already heard about this problem by now though.

Well finally got the new drive shaft in, looks 100 times stronger then the stock one, Dan from Masport Speed Shop tuned the engine perfect with no surge at all from the LS376/480. Its putting down 430HP at the wheels but did not want to push it on the dyno until I find out a way to get the rear end and the leaf springs from wanting to twist, any suggestions?

I emailed Caltracs about my rear end wrap and they emailed me back: "Yes we do have a kit for your application. Part number is 3404, cost is $369.00 plus shipping.". So I hope this will take care of my problem. Anyone have experience with Caltracs on their Silverado's?
