Default seeking low 14s

hey guys new here, just wanting some opinions i drive an 07 reg cab shortbed silverado, 2wd 4.8l v8 4l60e trans. this truck is my daily driver, the only vehicle i own, but id like it to run better without being rediculous. so my plans for modifications include:
rear end gear change to 4.56s with pozi
electronic shift kit
tuner (to reprogram speedo and such)
long tubes headers to full exhaust
possibly a CAI
and a tune.

so what i am asking is do any of you have anything to add or that you wouldent do? do differently, or parts to add?
thanks for the help in advance, Zack.

Cam, stall, long tube headers and sticky tires. Mine ran 14.5 with a crappy 60ft. Mods in sig. Oh and nitrous.

You might bag 14s with just a 100shot of spray, but a cam and stall should get you there. Some people even manage high 14s with just boltons, but those are some factory freaks IMO. 4.56 is pretty steep unless you are running a taller tire. Should defiantly scoot.
Tune
eBay CAI and replace muffler with magnaflow
4.56 with trutrac
3k stall
220/224 cam
Should get you consistent low 14s and maybe need a built trans.

There are better cams to be had than a 220/224 in a 4.8 imho

You want mid to low 14's and still want a nice daily driver? Take all the money you were going to spend on cams, tunes, etc and trade your truck in on a Sierra Denali and you will be there almost stock. Maybe a CAI would be needed. I ran against an untuned 2008 I think, crew cab, and it posted a 14.8 without a good 60ft time.

A nice cam bolt on set and converter will put you in low 13s in a 4.8

This set-up you will have a solid 14 sec truck.
Install bolt ons and see where you are at (time wise)
If you want to be faster. Install a converter and cam

Good luck

do you do a lot of highway driving with this truck? If you do, I would reconsider the 4.56's. My truck with the 3.23's could use another gear or 2, but everyone has a different comfort level for DD's. The truck should scoot pretty well with your list of parts. Have you thought about running a turbo and keeping the boost low to maintain reliability?
