Help! weird Service codes
I have been working on an email tune and all of a sudden my truck started wanting more fuel. This is what my tuner sent:
here's a new tune, I made another adjustment... with this adjustment, it's now adding about +25% fuel to get your fuel trims where they should be... that is WAAAAY TOOOOO MUUUUCH...
vehicles are NEVER that way off unless something is wrong with 'em man...
but, here ya go.. tune is attached...
have you replaced the O2 sensors with new ones?? next time you do a data log, also select the oxygen sensors bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1 and log those as well.... let's see what the **** they're doing...

Thanks!

Yesterday while it was raining my SES light came on and i scanned my codes and it said bank 1 and 2 were running lean and also p069E and U0073 came on. Has anyone came across these codes? I noticed after my truck starts with a min or so i hear a clicking come from under the rear of the truck. Someone on here said it was prolly the evap system. I am just worried something is wrong and don't want to continue until my truck is running right.

Ok i just found this.
Fuel Pump Control Module DTC P069E
The FPCM stores diagnostic information, and if a fault is detected it will send a message to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL). When this occurs, DTC P069E will set in the ECM. The specific faults themselves, however, are stored within the FPCM, and must be retrieved using the FPCM menu on the Tech 2 scan tool. Faults may be due to issues with the electrical wiring or connectors in the FPCM circuit; or they may be due to performance issues within the FPCM module itself, the fuel line pressure sensor, the fuel pump MRA, or communications with the ECM. The FPCM also has Special Functions within the Tech 2 for controlling the Fuel Pump Duty Cycle and Fuel Rail Pressure.Â
TIP: The FPCM can sometimes be overlooked when diagnosing a problem involving the fuel system. If while using a scan tool (Tech2) a DTC P069E is detected, return to the Powertrain menu and select Fuel Pump Control Module for additional diagnostic information.

just hit 3k. It throws p0171,p0174,p069e,u0073.
i took it to my dealer and they said it was my K&N CAI causing it to run lean. I told them if anything it waould cause it to run rich! They said nope we won't warranty it. Seems like a crock of **** to me! the CAi has been on since 7miles and never had a problem. I told him it has been on since new with no problems and there wouldn't be any excess oil cause i never re oiled it. I have never had a factory oiled K&N leak oil.

They ran the codes and blamed it on my K&N. I took it to the dealer by my work and have an appt for friday. He looked under the hood and asked if it helped any and i said my mpgs went up and he replied hell yeah every one helps! So i don't see it being a problem there.

The guy looking under the hood may not be the one wrenching on it so if you still have the factory air cleaner I would swap it out before your take it in just to be safe. The 171 and 174 codes do suggest a vacuum leak but the other two codes should have thrown a flag that there may be more to it than that. I'd still go over the whole air cleaner looking for pinched seals or a loose hose though.
