Silverado LTZ 6.2!
Hey how are you guys doing, I have been driving Tundras for the last couple yrs and I am thinking of trading 5.7 Tundra off for a 6.2 Silverado. I have had many Silverado's and decided that the 6.2 is the only thing close to the 5.7 Tundra engine, I love my Tundra because its a powerhouse but I am very tired of the mpg and no supporting aftermarket for it not even tuning. I am looking for a crew cab 2wd 1/2 ton LTZ or the the Sierra for about $20-30,000 any ideas, as they are hard to find, I have really missed posting here because of the amount of support here .

The 6.2's are hard to come by. I just picked the 2013 in my Sig and it was one of 3 in all of New England. As far as modding them you picked the right truck. They really respond to even just basic bolt-ons and a good tune. I will say that my current truck has 3.73's because of the NHT package and they make all the difference in these trucks. The thing rips box stock and the mileage is ok considering. I'm averaging about 13mpg with only 600 miles on it so it will get a little better with more miles.

Definitely come back to the dark side if you're looking to be able to do any sort of modifications
I think you're going to be hard pressed to find a crew 6.2 LTZ for under $30k even used... of course I'm comparing to western Pennsylvania market... I'm not sure what the market is where you're located.

6.2 is worth it. 15-20mpg The 6.2L is hard to find used. you can find one. the dealers would rather sell you a new 5.3l because they have them on there lot. dont settle tell them you want a 6.2l or nothing.

I got lucky looking online for a month and finally found, close to me in Houston, my desired truck.
I recently bought a 2011 ccsb 6.2 Sierra for $35, only had 14k miles, but it's 4X4, leather, backup camera, navigation...more options than I ever bargained for, but still I found what I wanted, a 4X4 ccsb 6.2 with leather.
I'd imagine a used 2011-2012, minus 4x4, leather, all that navigation junk, and back up cameras would run around or under 30K
Just be patient while looking

I just want the 6.2 for the power, bigger 9.5" rear end and rear disc brakes, I know what the 5.3 is capable of, because I had a turbo charged 5.3 Silverado. The edelbrock blower is looking pretty good or the whipple, I would like to do another turbo but it was very involved.
