Default stall with stock cam

I have a 2013 6.2 ccsb Silverado pretty much full bolton...I picked up a circle d 2800 pretty cheap I was about to put it in but my tuner said my truck wouldn't gain anything besides a better 60ft and be a dog on top end... What are pros and con's of the higher stall converter...I got the 2800 because I could still have the towing ability I needed... I do dd the truck so it's not racetrucki just like to have fun

Depending on which converter you have you wont give up a ton of efficiency up top either... so it wont be a dog up top. Generally the smaller the diameter the more efficient it can be while adding stall speed.

People run converters a lot more loose than that and have great results with the stock cam.

Wow super common to do a stall that size. Also your tuner sounds like he needs some lessons. A stall will give you a huge kick in the pants off the line and drop your 60' a good bit not to mention most trucks drop .5 or more in the 1/4 from adding a stall alone. lsxtv did a special on a TBSS that picked up nearly a full second in the 1/4 with a 3400 stall alone. Guys wouldn't run 4000+ stall speeds if it wasn't beneficial you will love it.

with something that tight, no. Near 6k you will be running at a real high efficiency anyway. Its not anything to worry about.
