Not yet, I had to go back to work so it will be about another week or so. In the meantime I will probably have to send the cluster I have to get the mileage changed. Also I will be getting a new shift lever with the correct size pins.

Well I broke down and ended up buying a new factory driveshaft from an 09. I also order a new shifter with the correct size pins.
I also got a new Trutrak on order and will have it installed along with 4.10s. I will just continue down the rabbit hole and hopefully have fun along the way.
Now I am toying with my next idea, do I go with an LS3?

Not to give bad news but new factory aluminum driveshafts are limited to only 95-100mph. They will explode above those speeds.
Not sure if you plan to go above those speeds though.

Factory ds will be fine to get you going but as ffdp said not over 90mph, depending on price may want to cancel order abd get custom made shaft.... Whats pn on the shifter?? I got mine but aside from that it looks right, havent really made sure its correct yet..... Ls3 or l92....

I'm thinking Ls3 because you can get a complete crate motor from gmpp. Either way I will need to do some mods to make them work.

You can get any engine you want, just need find vehicle it came out of.... Biggest difference between l92 and ls3 is the l92 has vvt and the ls3 has sodium filled valves on exhaust iirc...

Well here is the latest update. I just got the rear end regeared today to 4.10'see with a true Trac and all new bearings and seals, along with a Mag-Hytec cover. I installed to new shifter and shift mechanism that is in the steering column. Then I started to play with my tech 2 and see what is going on electronically. I see the tow haul turning on and off but nothing with the tutd. Something I will be looking at this weekend is in hp tuners and it will be activating tutd in d5 instead of d4. I noticed with the tech 2 that when the shifter was put in the M position the tranny read d5 not d4. Something to look at. Also, I am going to try and verify what tcm goes with an 09 VIN I have. According to a vin decoder that truck was built in Aug of 09, so I think it has the same tcm as an 07 and 08. That my plan for the upcoming week.
