Default Starting over with a new truck.

Some of you may have followed in the truck stop about my truck getting hit at work a few months ago. Truck spent about 6 weeks total at the collision facility, had to take it back several times for work not done.

Finally got it back, still just not right, and i suspected it never would be, opportunity presented itself Memorial Day weekend, and i drove home with a new 2013 GMC Sierra 1500. Basically same as my other truck other than this one being a Texas Edition and Quick Silver Metallic in color.

But it got me to thinking that starting over sucks. The only thing i pulled from the other truck was the AFE air filter, i really hadn't planned on getting rid of my other truck when i did. Should have pulled the airaid mit, and slp exhaust tip at least.

So far, i have tinted the windows with a limo tint eyebrow, done some debadging, added a black powdercoated 9" antenna, the afe air filter, and thats it. Oh, and the obligatory performancetrucks.net sticker on the back glass. Thanks Dewey!!
Ordered my Kook's Custom Headers bullet race muffler this evening.

Plans are to get the exhaust done with another slp exhaust tip at the stock location, airaid mit, oe ls7 90 mm throttle body, then a wheatley tune. That will do the performance side for a while.

Looks wise, have to get rid of the chrome door handle and mirror caps for silver painted ones. Also plans to put in a spray in bedliner, maybe a little more debadging.
Still debating on whether i want to level the front on 33's, or drop the rear. The 20's are heavy as ****, the truck feels alot slower than my 2012 Z71 did.

Will post pics soon need to get some clean pics, seems like its been raining every day here lately. Suggestions always welcome, doesn't mean they'll be listened to...

That really sucks that you got forced into it like that, but congrats on the new ride! It'll be fun making up your mind on all the details.

We ought to have a poll on how long it will be before you get started with maybe a cam, then a converter, 4.10 gears, headers ... maybe a Whipple?

Nah, been there done that with the cam and transmissions and headers etc....
The absolute most i could see myself doing would be a set of longtubes, but that would be a while down the road.

Not saying i wouldn't love a supercharger, but i'm too much of a cheap *** these days, lol. The only good thing i csn say about the way things worked out is that i was never all that happy with the black that my 2012 was. Just too damn hard for me to keep clean around here.

Congrats on the new truck! I vote you take the lowering route over the lifting route.

This is her, nothing out of the ordinary, but hopefully soon will get a few things done to set it apart. My muffler will be here tomorrow.
Need to get an updated pic with the PT.net sticker, and some of the chrome emblems removed.

Well, the big brown truck arrived today.
Interested to see how it sounds on the truck, only heard them on vette's f-bodies, and mustangs.

Just scored me a hell of a deal on an AirAid Modular Intake Tube to go with the AFE Filter. Will be modding the stock air box and installing the tube when it arrives. Hope to install my muffler sometime most likely next week or next weekend.

You'll need to do a sound clip once that muffler is in!
