Stock alloy 17's
#11
yea i used the thin nut that came with the kit, when i first dropped the truck i had 22's so i didnt install the thin nut, but then i had to sell the rims and when i went back to my 17's i installed the flat nut and grinded the stud down. Could there possibly be a thinner one I can use?

That might be my problem then, Mcgaughy's kit comes with a thicker flanged nut than the one shown in the belltech instructions. I think i may just have to purchase something thinner as shown in the belltech pic. But are the ones above lock nuts or are they just regular nuts?
This is wat the mcgaughys nut looks like, i took a quick pic.

My MCG spindles didnt come with a thin nut, i had to use my stock nut..
Mine clears my steel 17s but just barely.. Im sure you could find a thinner nut but MAKE SURE IT IS GRADE 8...
Edit: I think the MCG spindles have a machined area that the nut sets into.. Where as the Groundforce and others dont..
Im not sure the Thin nut should be needed..
