yep
all you need is a 383 stroker kit for an LS1 bore your block to 3.905" an run a set of 243s/317s an you have a pretty strong engine. a guy on LS1truck is building one. i have an extra block im thinking of doing that to if i dont decide to buy a stock 6.0

if you have 799s on your 5.3 now you can use those too. same head flow as the 243s just a different casting number. if you decide to go 383..do a build thread an maybe we can get rid of the constant threads asking if its possible to do a 383 with a 5.3 block

good luck

just make sure to use a 58x reluctor wheel crank with the install as well as a 4x sensor cam sprocket (LS2-LS7).... or else you'll run into problems later on..

Curious to know if you can get the LS1 383 kit with a 4" bore and pop it into a 6.0? Certain rod length you would need?

Seen a 4" bore 4" stroke kit for the 5.7 ls1 and thought about maybe putting it into a 6.0 for a SB400.

Sorry. 07 silveradoss. don't mean to hijack.

But yes it was advertised as a 4"/4". I had a ? about it too since I don't think they can go over like a 3.905 or so.
I have seen a few places offering 4" 4" applications so I'm going to tuck that info away for the future.
