Default STS or Supercharger?

What would work best?

I got a 07 Sierra (New Body) 5.3 with some mods-check out my profile.

What do you think about 6.0L swap and do the turbo or super?

They both work very well. Just depends on what you want to do with the truck...

I do like the immidiate power and tourque along with the super but what would be less pain and have more power? I like to have the power when needed, I do race occaisionally and tow once or twice a year. The only problem I see with the turbo is mounting and the oil lines

Cold Lake, Alberta? Welcome! For daily driving/street i would go with a supercharger. It will have a lot torque and hp right off idle and would be really fun to drive. If you want to have a fast track truck i would go with a turbo. Turbo can make a lot more power but a lot of the power wouldn't be as usable on the street compared to a supercharger. Thats not to say that a turbo truck is not fun on the street. A properly sized turbo/engine can spool just as fast as a supercharger. I would opt for a front mount instead of sts tho.

Good post, few questions about best bang for your buck? What have you guys used/heard of for superchargers? I like the chargers for all around power pretty much any time but what do you need to complete the install? Of course some parts come with kits I hear and how hard is it on the engine? Thanks!

You will need a fuel system to support the air. A cam would be a good idea but not necessary. For supercharger i would probably go with the tvs but whipple and vortech have some nice new systems out too that are pretty complete.

I'd argue the stock fuel system (minus injectors, of course) is adequate to support a TVS or centri blower at stock size engines and reasonable boost levels. Obviously there's no harm in plumbing a return style system with bigger single or double pumps, but my point is it's not a necessity.

I mostly meant injectors and fuel pump. Most kits come with them tho.
