Default Sumitomo HTR Sport H/P Vs. Nitto 420S - 285/50/20

A lot of people I've talked to have liked the Sumitomo HTR Sport H/P tires. I've grown up with Nitto. What would be the better performance tire? If Other - which one?

damn. looks like it double posted this. If a mod could merge the 2 threads.

No contest. Hands down the Nitto 420. I've ran both of them. I couldn't get the Sumitomo's to hook for crap. And the Nitto's have lasted a lot longer too. IMHO

I voted Nittos as well, but I like Kumhos.

Probably just because I'm a ho.

nittos forsure..ive had my 420s on my tahoe for almost 15k and they seem like new..I even have camber issues in the front and you cant tell one bit on the tires since they have a reinforced sidewall...they also handled a little snow just fine when we had an early storm last year

I've ran the Goodyears also. I got about the same life out of them as the sumitomo's. If your choosing between those I would get the cheaper priced of the two. The Nitto's are expensive but well worth the money.

It's a $3 difference between the GY and the Sumi. I would think GY just over brand name, but I know thats not always the case. I personally have had good luck with GY tires in general.

I have to wait for them to order the nittos if I want those.... i dont like waiting.
