I am the one who did the t56 conversion on a gmt900.

keep your 6l80e or convert to a 4l80e.

For $15k I'd like to know what you get with it...well no not really. If I had that to burn on a transmission I'd just spend a little more and install an EMCO sequential along with buy a whole different vehicle to put it in and make use of a 15k plus transmission.
No ****? Man I still have the email I got last winter they qouted me 14,800.00 for a built 1200hp 6l80e with a stall and they would be the only ones that would tune the trans and will not warranty of it breaks

Maybe the 1200hp part created a scare or $$$ sign issue??? I never mentioned a hp rating as I am back down close to stock these days. I take your word for the quote, but really not sure what else you get for that price or the 1200hp but I am honestly curious now.

My estimate:
5000 trans build
1200 billet converter
600 billet flex plate
200 trans cooler
1200 remove and install

No idea what their new planetary set would cost. They may also have other parts that I don't know about but 15k is crazy high and I don't see how that could be justified without making a bunch of 1-off parts for it.

Today I spoke to 21st centry muscle cars and they had a 2013 2wd sierra Denali that made right under 1,000rwhp 992rwhp to be exact they did a built 4l80e new wiring system standalone harness new shaft stock 14 bolt and many other things here and there $8,999.00 which is better and might wait for next year to do this

Can't blame you. Certainly sounds more proven.
