Default TBSS map in nnbs??

So I bought what I thought was a nnbs intake, but it seems its slightly different. I believe its a TBSS intake instead. It has the blocked off egr port on the side and the map sensor hold down is different. My issue is that I put a decent amount of work getting some aftermarket rails to fit nicely on it so I don't want to buy the right nnbs intake and have to do it all over again. The map sensor that fits the tbss intake will not plug into the connector on my wiring harness. Is there any map sensor that will work in this intake and plug into my stock connector??

I'm in the process of swapping a nnbs intake onto my 2005. I purchased the newer map sensor to correctly fit in the intake. Then I bought an adapter harness to switch from the gen III plug to the gen IV plug. I think this was the one I used https://www.eficonnection.com/eficon...spx?ItemId=576. You would need the ends reversed for your application, but I beat you could find the correct one searching on the Internet or you might try calling a few places like the link. I'm sure someone has the pigtail you need to switch your harness to plug into the TBSS map sensor.

That looks like just a pig tail. Do they sell an actual adapter harness to go from the nnbs map sensor to the nbs harness? That is one of the last things I have to work out on my 2001 with a 2011 intake. I really don't want to have to silicone my stock sensor into the intake.

Sorry, that was a link to the pigtail. You could just cut the harness and splice on the pigtail if you wanted.

The adapter I bought can be found here https://www.eficonnection.com/eficon...spx?ItemId=952

I have confirmed that it plugs into the nnbs map sensor and to the harness on my 2005 truck. I'm installing the intake at the same time as an engine swap that isn't completed yet, so I can confirm 100% that the adapter works, but I figured for $20 plus the nnbs map sensor that was cheap from Amazon it would be worth a try instead of using silicone.

I have no problem buying the tbss connector and then soldering in the new one, but will the PCM be able to read it?

I was afraid there my be some type of issue like that. In my post above I meant to say since I haven't completed the engine swap that I couldn't confirm that it worked in the truck just that the adapter plugged in correctly.

Maybe there is a way to correct for the sensor in the PCM program?

It would be so much nicer than having to rig up the wrong sensor and always wonder if it sealed good enough.

You are doing the complete opposite of me. I am trying to get a nbs/tbss map to work on a nnbs. That connector wont work for me...
