Question Tire pressure sensors ???

I will be getting some new rims for my 08 Sierra GMC and was wondering about the pressure sensors being reuseable ? They dont look like the ones
on my Vette or SSTB.
I herd they where a 2 part set up is this true ?
Any helpful info would be good thanks.

The sensor actually screws on to the valve stem. Sometimes you can get the stem out without messing it up but usually you will need to buy just the stems and them just unscrew the old sensors off and put the on the new ones. The GM part number on the stem is 15263240 and they are around 10.00 each if I remember correct

the stems are one time use. I got my tires mounted at discount tire and they put new stems in for no charge.

don't run without them long if you have a problem my sensors and system isn't working right and dealership can't figure it out and my warranty is voided, imagine that.

Thanks for the info guys.
I went ahead and bought new ones from Discount Tires with the chrome caps for the valve stems to hide the black rubber stem.
