The dealer told me it could be done but would be expensive since they would have to make a custom computer program to tell a few modules not to look for them. Needless to say, I bought a spare set of sensors and had them installed.
BTW, in the near future, tampering with the TPMS will be a major infraction just like the airbags.

u can reset the check tire pressure light by letting air out of each tire individually until you hear a beep. then refill to proper air pressure. dunno if that works without the tire sensors tho.

Wasn't this system mandated by the government?? Basically the masses don't check their tire pressures and have accidents therefore the manufacturers must do it for them.

there is a way to turn it off...do ur new wheels...have the sensor on them if they dont u can use the one on ur original wheels on any aftermarket rim ...once u do that u install them on the truck the light will still be on ...now u press the info or the other top button and look for where it says "press (checkmark) to relearn tire pressure" when u hold and release the checkmark the truck will honk... u got to the front tire on the the driver side and take out air till it honks dont leave it pressed just let air out and check and check till it honks...then u go to the right front tire do the same...then to the rear right tire do the same...then u go to the rear left tire do the same when its honks once it will honk twice in that tire that means its complete and the light turns off...make sure u add alot of air to the tires before u start the process if not u will end up flat and the light will stay on...if u need anymore help pm me
