took the denali some 1/4 mile fun and weighted it
well today was the last day the strip was open..so i hard to run out there to see how it runs before winter..didnt set any record but i think its a pretty solid runs. anyways it went
2.17 60ft
9.0088 1/8
79.23mph
13.94 1/4
99.92
i ran 10 times and couldnt break the 100mph mark i was pissed..lol but i think its a solid run for a awd truck.
i tried to talk them in to weight me while i was there but i guess the scales were broke, and i had to know what it weight so on the way home i pulled in to a truck stop and paid to run it over the certifed scale...which was about 90miles from the track so i have to add alil weight back for fuel...anyways it was 5680lbs with me in it 205lbs..so il just call it 5700lbs

No, actually you're right. The truck is an LTZ 4x4 optioned out pretty much to the max, including skid plates; in the bed there's a tool box full of food, water, tow straps, tire chains, flares, flashlights, lanterns, blankets, gloves, rain gear, tarps, shovel, camp stove and gas; I've got the under-seat storage thing with a soft bag full of hand tools in it; GM 6" oval side steps; Fold-A-Cover hard tonneau; and oversize 10-ply tires. Plus I weigh 200 lb.
With a nearly full tank of gas I was 5,900 on the state highway dept. scale, and with 1/8 tank of gas but my son and me both in the truck a few weeks later it was 5,950 on the same scale.
Oh, yeah, and there's my iPod Nano in the console ...
