torquer v2 in a 5.3?

There is a point where the heads are only going to do so much without port work, thats why guys have such success with smaller cams because they take advantage of the flow they have and they are not overcamming. I dont think the v2 would be too much on a 243 but it would only make more power with port work. The v2 would be too much for the older 5.3 heads.

Yeah thats too much cam for your setup, now if you had some smaller gears and a bigger stall, it'd be alright, but for your current setup I'd go with like a TR220 from Thunder Racing or a TSP 220r from Texas Speed
