Question Which Transmission do I have? 80 or 90?

My truck is a 2008 Sierra Denali AWD. I thought that it came with the 6L90E, but I've now seen a thread on HP tuners site w/ a link to GM Truck Specs that says that all the '09 L9H (6.2VVT) trucks now comes w/ the 6L80E?? What gives? has GM changed this for 09, or do I have the -80? The specs on the -80 show that it has a lower max torque rating but a higher max RPM rating than the -90. Anyone know about these things??

You have the 6L80E, the 6L90E is only used in the HDs.

OK, that explains it then. Anybody break one of these yet? What's the max HP anyone has put through the 6L80E?

I've personally seen two 6L90Es trashed within 10K miles of getting them. This was running 4.10s and 285 tires on 08/09 2500HDs. Seems the pickup on these new transmissions doesn't like steep grades like the 4L80 would take. They seem to hold up better on the flat but in off road/highway use i'm not sold yet.
