Default Truck dieing problem

After installing heads and intake. Thought it was a tuning issue that one tuner wasnt able to fix so then took it to another tuner and is a lot better but still dieing some. Both are very reputable tuners. Been doing some looking at some older threads and was thinking maybe since i still have a K&N intake that maybe if i upgraded to a homemade 4" it would help. Maybe its not getting enough air? Dynoed right under 400 to the wheels. What do you guys think?

What its doing: If youre in park and rev up to above 3k it would not catch idle and die. If im in bumper to bumper traffic and give it gas to move up and then let right off gas it would die. Sometimes letting off to make a turn it dies. Also stopping at red lights it would die if i didnt ride the break and throttle. So I went to another tuner and it is running much better. Now, if you rev up in park it falls slow to idle to keep it from dying (take 5-10 secs to drop from 3k to idle). Still dieing sometimes while stopping at lights and slowing down to make turns but its far far less. I was thinking that its not getting enought air flow into it so if i upgraded to a 4" intake do you think it will help?

Still sounds like a tune problem to me. I seriously doubt you have an air restriction.

How long has yours been doing it? Mines been a little over a month and is a lot better after seeing last tuner but still doing it occassionaly. Is it something I'm just gonna have to deal with? Id believe the 2 tuners I've gone to could have fixed it if there was a fix

Its the tune IMO. You need to work on the throttle cracker, throttle follower and deaired airflow. Also might need to look at the timing.

Just got to find someone willing to go out their way to make it right. Most get tired of dicking with it and pass you on to someone else.

Just make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks. Or leaks behind the maf and before the 02's

Definitely Look for a vaccuum leak of some sort, Clean your MAF etc.. like the others said i doubt its an airflow problem.. What i would do is get a hold of a live OBD2 scanner and see whats going on when the idle drops back down from a rev
