well the other day i called the transmission shop to see how much they charge to install my gears and the guy said like $450 and he also said if i'm buying the gears get the 2 cut instead of the 5 cut because the 2 cut our much easier to install. That got me.. i have no idea either....

what gear are you buying? the one we talked about? if you're buying yukon there is no option. 8.5/8.6 are the same ring and pinion

Yea i might go with yukon or motive i'm not sure yet. i havn't made up my mind

Motive is good but Yukon is the best before you getto GM gears

youd need head bolts, pushrods too
we should just make a DOD delete parts needed sticky vs every thread you see is about "what do i need" "what about this" "why do i need that" just saying...it sucks repeating the same thing over and over in every thread. thats pretty much why i stop replying to the threads like that. call me a dick or w.e you want it just gets annoying

**** man I understand that it gets annoying and I should have been more precise on the question. Don't want to order the wrong parts. There are a lot of opinions on here and just trying to get a better understanding. I understand the whole dod delete and all j/w what would be the best...

I have all the GM Part#'s for the D.O.D. Delete Kit. I'll post them as soon as I find that damn sticky pad.. lol
