Turbo LY6 swap into 2012 crew cab
Hey guys,
I picked up a newer LY6 (6.0 out of newer van) to replace the LC9 5.3.
Here is the setup I will be running:
Truck:
2012 crew cab
5 inch lift, 33 inch tires
running traction bars to prevent axle wrap.
Engine:
LY6 (6.0 iron block, L92 heads)
-either gm blue or BTR valve springs
-stock cam with VVT active
-ARP headbolts
-ls9 headgaskets
-morel 5315 lifter
-LS9 injectors
-trick turbo kit. stage 2 w/precision 7275
Stock 6L80E/converter
-Has anyone run this setup? The engine appears to be a direct drop in.
-What issues, if any will I run into while tuning? The LY6 is mated to a 6l90 from factory. Can the tuner just modify the current 5.3 tune so the 6.0 works with 6l80E?
-Will be running 10-12 psi
