Default Vortech 6.0 Max 4x4 - got questions

Thanks VortechC5 for directing me to this area of the forum - man there is tons of info on here.
I just purchased a 2007 Crew Cab 4x4 6.0 Max LTZ with 25K miles on it in GREAT shape and have a few questions:
1) As I was looking under the hood today I noticed that on the drivers side there is a flat tray - looks like there was a battery there at one time. Was this stock from the factory? Should there be another battery?
2) I took my brother for a ride today and decided to really get on it for the first time so I took the traction control off. When I hammered it the truck barely spun the tires (maybe 2 or 3 times over) and didn't really get after it like I expected. I had a 07 Classic with the 5.3 in it and I think it had atleast the same get up an go. Whats up with that?
3) When I scan thru the driver controls it says instant fuel economy V8 mode - I am pretty sure this truck did not come with the fuel management system - why does it say V8 mode then?
4) What is the best PCM tune for me? I pull a 6500lb camper about 100 miles each way once every other month and the rest of the time if just going back and forth across town to work - I know - What a life!
5) I would like to know anything you can tell me about the truck as it was purchased from a Ford dealership who knew NOTHING about Chevys.
I will try to post some pics later this week - it is a pretty sweet looking truck!

thats an extra battery tray, no need to install another one.
the truck has a ton of torque management so it really wont spin that much.
i say go with a Wheatley/BlackBear/Truckshop tune (not in order just throwing tuners out)
the V8 mode will be there even if you dont have the DOD motor.
you have L92 heads.

i say run Magnaflow simply bc its quiet rolling, but loud when needed

Born and raised in NE Texas. Dad was a big Razorback Fan so I became one too and went to school there, but I got back to Texas as fast as I could once I finished. Arkansas is a great place and I go back as often as possible, but Texas is home!

Hope this is not a really stupid question but here goes anyway. How do I find out if it does have AFM and is there and easier way for me to find out the gear ratio rather that spinning the back tires and watching the revolutions of the drive shaft - I didn't get a window sticker or anything on the truck.

Look in the glove box at the option tag... find the code that starts with a g...gu6-3:42... cant remember the others off top but post it up, someone on here will know...
