Default vroom vroom pow clunk clunk clunk...

Something let loose at the track tonight... running consistent 14.4s and it gave up.. right when I launched it the last time I heard a bang then it pegged the rev limiter... Idk what the Hell happened but it doesn't do **** in prnd321.... it just revs and makes a banging sound... lil help?

Not many people break tru tracs, but it has definitely happened. Unless there was a maintenance issue, I don't see how running 14s is going to damage something that bad. I see you have aftermarket gears installed. Do you remember how much backlash there was?

Performance shop in gulfport did the rear end... they are Yukon gears...

I didn't do the rearend... mainly because I didn't want any mistakes or failure.... esp at the track :/ note the sarcasm

if the driveshaft is spinning something is wrong in the rear end, the pinion or the ring gear. pull the rear cover and look. i know someone that broke yukon gears bc he didnt set them up right and he abused the truck. id did the same thing, good thing he had 4wd to pull his truck back home.

I'm gonna pull the cover when I get off... I gave it Hell but it was only strip and street... prob only 360 to the tires on the bottle... it shouldn't have happened esp with factory converter and street tires?
