The G80 works well for stock trucks getting unstuck etc but its a WIMPY unit for any kind of horse play. Drag racing and G80's is about as reliable as Charlie Sheen staying sober. They just CANNOT take any gaff at all. The Truetrac is toughness factor beats the G80 by exponential levels.
Id be super pissed and screaming my head off in there until someone ponied up and either gave me my dough back or provided me with a truetrack. Thats one

If its any sort of known business, even locally, make sure everybody else knows not to go there. If it were me I'd go out of my way to make sure any of their future potential customers went elsewhere. Then in a few weeks when they are dying for business, you can let them know exactly what you did and that you didn't want it happening to anyone else.
If its a bigger business, like locations outside the city where you live, take it to the better business bureau. You have all the evidence you need in that invoice. They lied, they took your money. Now they deny it. Simple as that. If that doesn't work, filing some paperwork at a small claims court might get you going.

I am in the process of dealing with this right now... I broke my first g80 went and paid for a tru trac and 4:11s now realizing I got 4:11s and some used g80... I got took... invoice even says tru trac and Yukon 4:11s I guess that's what happens when you don't pay attention and trust people...

I would take them to small claims court if they dont wanna fix it! If u payed for a tru-trac thats what they should have put in there! Btw if u plan on changing those gears out to 373 I got nib yukon 3:73's.Hopefully they atleast put the yukon brand in there and not a cheaper brand.

whats the name and location of this shop, google has reviews for most any business Ive seen. I dont know about any one else but I for one, would take 5 minutes out of my day to smear **** all over their name. Im sure that if a you got another 10 to 15 guys to do the same it would begin to impact their bottom line.

This is absolutely amazing. Someone else lying about the work they are doing. My friend here in town had a similar thing happen today, but that's another story. I really don't understand how something like that is even remotely ok... My advice, don't swap in anything without going down there and showing them the damage from the G80. Because if they installed that **** when you wanted a true trac, it's their fault it broke. Sure, abuse a G80 and break it, abuse a TT and it takes it...it wouldn't have broken. Make them pay for the new differential and have them give it to you to install. So many shady people/shops around these days, makes me ******* sick.
