Your truck sounds great! You mention a piece of rubber being stuck in cut-out, was this making it louder on your header - oem catback soundclip? OR something else I missed? Your second video/sound clip was moving the camera on every throttle blip, nice touch.

Your first soundclip is exactly the sound I'm looking for

Who's your tuner? I just realized you're in Austin too. Sounds like what happened back in the day when the clutch went out in the tci converter I had.

#1, check that your MIT didn't come off the throttle body.

#2, if it is the tq converter, at least you have a powertrain warranty still! get GM to install your new converter

#3, get some tires....that vid was embarassing lol, 4x4 guys don't have to worry bout dig runs sucka!

I got one, but it fit terribly and would vibrate loose from the throttle body, so I removed it. What you have is completely different than what I had. Thanks
I don't remember the part number. I'll see if I can look it up.

Yes there was a small piece of rubber causing the cutout to not close completely. This may have made the video with the stock catback sound SLIGHTLY louder, but I doubt much at all. The big difference was actually inside the cab. Once I got it to close all the way it was much quieter in the cab.

I'm looking forward to headers just for that sound .... not too loud but lets me hear the sweet sound of american muscle.

The header fitment looked tight from your pics, are there any spots that contact anything ?

It's tight in a few spots but they don't contact anything.

Well, here's what y'all have been waiting for. Vids with the ls9 cam.

Warm startup and idle vid, cutout closed. Engine is already up to operating temp.

Cold startup and idle vid, cutout closed. Truck sat overnight. There is a small amount of chop, but hardly noticeable unless you are really looking for it.

And finally, a 20 roll downshift to first gear, pull to 100. Cutout closed. Gonna get a similar vid with the cutout open to show how awesome it sounds lol. Just gotta find the right time and place cuz it ain't quiet. Lol.

Edit: Here is a 20 roll punch with the cutout open, windows up. Sorry I should have started the recording a little sooner.

Tried to post the video links as images. Let me know if they aren't working. I think photobucket is being gay.

Edited: they are just regular links. Couldn't get the images to work.
