Ok, then tune isn't used as a bolt on. Either way, you can still use the term bolt on for other things.
MY opinion of a bolt on is something that can be added to the truck that doens't need major adjustment for. I can add a cold air intake and truck still run normal. I can put long tubes and the truck still run fine other than the o2 sensors. Bet you can't put a cam in a truck, WITHOUT a tune and other crap and it run as good as stock. So its not considered a bolt on. I don't consider nitrious a bolt on cause you still have to tap into your intake and run wires and stuff.
The term bolt on is just used for easier things that can put on a truck to add performance/help the truck gain mpg or what ever you need it to do.

LMAO! @ THREAD....
Bolton makes terrible music btw.
Jus a suggestion you might be able to weed out the jokers if you ask in a diffrent manner such as "Looking for track times with stock longblock w/ no fi.?"

My definition would be anything that can be done using basic hand tools and without taking apart any of the drivetrain. (engine, trans, diff)
I would have to agree that giggle gas, tune, CAI, exhaust (all of it), e-fans, lighter wheels, stickey rubber that sort of thing. Basically modifications to the drive trains supporting systems. You don't need any of these systems to run the drive train.
Cams, intake manifolds, pistons, rods etc, Internal engine mods.
Vette servos, clutches converter, etc, Trans mods.
Larger gears, stronger shafts, etc, diff mods.
And S/Cer or turbo is FI
