Default What grade of stainless

Anybody know what grade of stainless steel they used for the exhaust on the nnbs trucks? Specifically the 3.5" exhaust that comes on the trucks with 6.2.

I think it is 406 stainless. 304 Stainless is polishable which is what the Corsa, Borla, and other aftermarket manufacturers use.

If you are looking to polish, take a look at reply 85 in this thread - https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...9/#post4807952

The front part of the exhaust is 409 stainless and the tail pipe is just aluminized mild steel. It can be welded with mild steel wire and a regular mix of argon and CO2.

I'm gonna put the cutout right after the bolted connection (where the y pipe bolts to the rest of the catback) and before the muffler. Are you saying this part is aluminized steel?
