Synthetic blend in my Sierra and full synthetic in G8 GT ... Whatever brand the lube place by the Tanger in Gonzales, LA has .. Or the lube place in Thibodaux, LA (depending where i am when needing oil change) I dont change it til the 'puter tells me too ... 160,000+ on the LY5 5.3 in the Sierra and 140,000 almost now on the G8 GTs L76 6.0 ... Almost zero consumption in the DOD 5.3 and about 1/2 qt consumption on the 6.0 Active Fuel Management at oil changes ... Never had consumption issues that others have had with DOD or AFM ...
Neither have much on performance mods but i drive em like theres no tomorrow ..

So im picking up sum mobil 1 5w30 from my local walmart..where can i buy a wix oil filter? Autozone doesnt have them...ive heard that napa gold filters are as good...is that true? Cuz theres a napa down the street from me

There is an oreilys 2 blocks from my house...who knew? Just bought two wix filters for $12 and i bought a 5 gallon tub of mobil 1 5w-30 for $70 so im covered..im gonna change it every 3500 miles to be safe
