Quick off the topic question.. I wont be able to get a converter until a couple weeks after my cam swap. Can I drive it temporarily until then?

Yes you can drive it with the stock tc... I seen a few plp that drove and race there truck like that... Just got be tune right...

The lower vaccum at low rpms because of the cam with the stock converter will make the brakes suck in slow and go driving.

My brakes weren't too bad with a similar cam and stock converter. All depends on how high the idle RPM is, and how good the tune is. If you've got the "cruise control" effect in the tune, braking can be a nightmare.
