depending on what insurance company you went with, they will total it by a percentage of damage. if like more than 75-85% .... start jankin everything you can out of it if its totaled

give them between 2 days to a week,

To be honest unless by some miracle the frame is not damaed, it is very likely to be written off as a total loos, they can make more money paying you for it and auctioning it off then repairing it for you

I'd be hoping they total it really. I don't think I'd wanna keep a vehicle that'd been wrecked that bad, and resale value won't be worth much.

just being in a wreck isnt such a bad thing, if they salvage the title is rough because you dont know what yahoo did it, 9/10 it will be a dealership if title is clear.

truck could go either way to be honest with you. The likelihood of the frame being tweaked is kinda far fetched IMO, my frame was barely tweaked and my bed was pushed in well over a foot and it also hit my wheel.

anyway, glad your ok man, trucks are replaceable, but looks like it needs mostly body work, a rim and a rear end. I think they'll fix it.

Start ripping everything off you can, when I totalled my last truck they told me that I could take anything off as long as I replaced it with something. I wish I would have taken more off such as good tires and put junk yarders on.

When I got hit in my old truck, it wasn't too bad but it bent the cab corner and smashed the door in to where you couldn't open it. Granted mine was a little older than yours when it happened, but they said that when the bed is smashed AND the cab is smashed in then it's hard to fix. I think it will be totalled imo.

Here is a pic of my old truck when it was totalled out, it doesn't really look that bad but the damage in $$$ was a lot. Enough for the other guy to buy me my truck I have now, 5 years ago.

"don't flame me for the camo, it was highschool "

Well they adjusted the preliminary estimate to 17k worth of damage he said that's about 2k over the threshold for totaling the vehicle. The rear part of the frame was almost cut in half by the pole i'm suprised the truck didn't rip into two pieces. i also broke the front tie rods entire rear end confirmed destroyed. Its pretty bad lol i hope they total it because the resale value will be awful.

I know how you feel. It is just such a pain in the *** to deal with. Whether it is your fault or not, it is such a hassle. Good luck with it and keep us updated.
