They announced that they expected to drop 400 pounds and add a 6ft bed to the crew while making the cab roomier, as well as the possibility of retiring the suicide doors on the extended cab in favor of a setup like the Tundra's. We'll have to wait and see. I would be surprised to see the 4.3 continued; GM will probably follow Chrysler with a potent 3.6 under the hood.

If they keep the 6.2 in the lineup and add Direct Injection, add the longer bed, and cut the weight, I might sell this truck soon after the last payment. That **** would be MEAN!

D.i is something I am looking foward to learn about. I LOVE my gmt 900 6.2. The next model would have to be really something special and have the 6.2 in the 1500 series for me to even consider.....ugh...

If they would make a D.I. fuel system for the 6.2 and EFILive would support tuning for it, that would make for a KILLER platform for a turbo! I can dream can't I?

And I'm still waiting for my 4.5L 1/2 ton Dmax....

DI is a bitch to tune. been dealing with that crap on cobalts since 08. easy to make power, and even easier to run out of fuel.

If they make a really nice interior, longer bed, larger crew cab and bump up the power I might be convinced to trade up but it would have to be something real damn special. I'm interested in seeing what the upscale interior looks like.

For me the Interior was the biggest draw back on the GMT900 line up. I was hoping it would get better but it never did. For me it was too flat and Plain.

I really like the looks of the GMC Exterior in the GMT900 line up and if they keep with the great styling and improve the interior I would be in for getting a new truck.

DI is definitely on it's way!!! Supposedly they have had great success with it on the smaller engines and are considering caring it to the larger engine line up.

Hopefully they don't make the PCM's impossible to tune like they did the diesels....
