Default where to get my 2010 6.2 tuned?

i usually go through nelson since he does free revisions for added mods, but when i called the other day they said the only way they can tune the 2010's is for me to take it to them.

I am in lubbock tx, and would LIKE a live tune but the only place around here that does live tuning is tsp but last time i talked to em about it they weren't doing any vvt stuff yet.

is anyone REALLY good with tuning vvt's that is doing mail order tunes on the 2010's

I don't think the vvt is an issue tuning wise until you do a cam.
As you know, a basic tune will transform your truck, how long before you get to put a cam in it.
Got any pics posted yet??

yeah here's some pics https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=460668
plans:
lowered w/ wheels - mid late june
headers/exhaust/vararam - late july/early august
HD front/ paint match everything - january
cam/stall/gears - next spring

i'm trying to space things out.... i have a tendency to do too much too soon and end up getting bored with it. so i'm going to TRY to take this truck in stride. my 08 i had built in 5-6 months and i ended up selling it after only 10 months

I would check out Blackbear tuning. (site sponsor) Justin has tuned my truck twice in person and it is amazing. There are many satisfied customers on this site with his tunes.

BB does live tunes, you just have to catch him near you.
Wheatly, but that's out in Houston
Nelson is in San Antonio, isn't he?

I say email Justin with BB and let him take care of you. He also re-tunes for added mods (within reason).

unless u have hp tuners on hand on your lap top u wont get a complete tune through mail order.. your ecm can be sent through the mail but your tcm (tranny computer) is located inside the 6l80 tranny and is not easily accessible without taking it apart, so that wont be tuned.. that is why on the newer trucks you have to bring them in to a tuner.. im not completely sure if that is the case now.. but that was a problem when i was tuning mine bout a year ago.

i wanted to buy and extra set of computers (ecm & tcm) to tune and have my factory set for when i needed warranty.. but u cant switch out the tranny one, so i gave up and just tuned it lol.. and that was the reason also that it needed to be there in person and no mail order
