My truck came with them but wasn't listed on the window sticker. I like them and it really brings out the light colored trucks.

I put them in on both of my trucks, it is a dealer installed option available on all trim levels, at the dealer I work at we put them in on 90% of our inventory because they look so much better than the painted inner wheel wells. I also scuffed up and undercoated the wells on my new truck before I put them in.

I'm honestly surprised they're not standard; I see absolutely no reason why they wouldn't be.

I believe the technical term is: "additional dealer profit."

They’re available on all models with the Option Code VQG ‘protection package.’
Includes mud flaps, rail covers and the liners. MSRP $290.

Got mine from Husky, Bushwacker, and GM respectively after delivery instead.

Ah, I see. I didn't want bed rails or I would have gotten it. I still think they should be standard though.

They are also included in the SLT/LTZ convenience package.

Not on trucks. Spare tires have already been optional on a few cars

Most usually get road side assistance and free towing when they get their warranty or it's something the dealership offers so I could actually see this happening or being an option.
