I only did the 2/4 drop, and really like my McGaughys. I'm toying with the idea of dropping to a 3/5.

I got the the 4/7 from mcaughys for the crew cab and cut one full coil off the top of the spring.

How did it ride after you cut a full coil off the spring?

she rode very nice for a lowered truck. It was close on the allignment though. They said there wasn't much more play in it.

my drop is a 5/9 and aligned perfect.we got more trucks that are lower than mine and ride and aligned aswell.

i'm sorry but having worked on 3 gmt 900's they will NOT align after 4" of strut compression whether it be shorter springs, lower control arms or struts. unless you have new upper control arms these trucks will not align. they may say that they did but they wont. and the caster is so far out of whack its not funny. i have the offset bushings and an alignment god, he has done the setup for racecars for 30+ years and he showed me that you can't get it in That is why McGaughys no longer sells a 5/7 they had it for a month or so and pulled it off the market.

Mcgh's-5/7....didnt align all the way, but looked much better than before. you cant tell much from the pic.
