SO..... I looked around and found the Rough Country 2/5 kit with shocks for $200?!? Seemed like a deal, or at least priced right so I bought it and installed it. My truck is currently sitting on jackstands since I purchased wheels and tires..... The Tires came in, waiting on the wheels. I got the TPMS sensors out of the stock wheels and gave them away. Now I'm just stuck and waiting. I will let you guys know what I think about this kit if my wheels ever show up!

Alright, here's the deal. 305/40/22 Goodyear Fortera tires and a Rough Country 2/5 drop with 22x9" LTZ replica wheels.
It rides pretty good, but I haven't taken it in for an alignment yet. I'll let you know if they can align it to stock specs. The Rough Country kit seems to be a killer deal, and it's just the right drop for me. The 305's lightly rub the fender liner when a full lock, and doesn't hit anywhere else. I'm pleased. the goodyear's were also a pretty awesome deal from discount tire with free shipping. The wheels are Ebay reps, and the painted/machined finish is factory perfect. Happy, happy, happy!
Don't mind the downpour, it's always raining here!

To be honest, the install wasn't any worse than the others out there, the tough part was wrestling the axle around to the top. The front suspension was a peice of cake and took about 30 minutes, the rear took me quite a few hours, since I've never done one before. I wanted the frame to look perfect when I cut out the bump stops, so I took some extra time smoothing out the factory welds. The ride is okay, the front rides like stock, but with a little more bumpsteer, and the rear is, well, different. The kit came with new shocks for the rear, but I guess you lose some ride quality when you flip the axle? It seems like spring rate has gone up quite a bit in the rear, but I haven't figured out why. Also, the kit came with new rear shackles so it was a 5" drop, instead of a 7", I just wish the urethane bushings in those shackles came with some grease!
