Default will a 1500 handle a 20' enclosed trailer?

i have a 2010 1500 ecsb 5.3 4x4, it pulls my 18' open trailer with my 3500lb car great, but im looking to upgrade trailers. ideally i would love to buy a 24' enclosed but id guess that would be to much for my truck, so im figuring i can make due with a 20' one. is anyone pulling a 20 or 24' enclosed with their 1500s and how do they do? i will be using this to travel local and long distances to races (all 4 lsx shootout events). any upgrades that would help? i plan on load leveling bars and maybe airbags, and im sure ill have it tuned if it feels like a slug.

thanks for you help

WAY too much weight and wind resistance for a 1500, especially with a 5.3, IMO.

That I can't answer - but IMO even with a V-nose you're STILL pushing a butt-load of air.

The 6L80E helps - but that poor little 5.3 would be running in 2nd and 3rd gear a BUNCH!

Duno bout all that. I have seen Honda Ridgelines pull 20ft closed trailers, at the race track alot.. So I am sure that a 1500 can do it..
