Default Will It work??

I bought a 08 LS cause I was only planning to keep the truck 2-3 years. The more I drive it, the more I like it. Only now I wish I would have spent the extra money and got the LT. I knew I wouldnt like the 4.8, but I didnt expect the white one to catch on fire. I didnt really notice the 4 gauge cluster, but was only planning on keeping it 2-3 years. I dont like the open center jump seat, cause I have to clean it before I can use the middle seat.

So, Ill probably be buying a LT center jump seat before too long. Once the warranty is a little closer to being up (still have over 97,000 miles left) Ill probably put a 6.0, 6.2, or 402 in it with a FLT, small cam, and decent converter. But for now, will a LT gauge cluster swap in easily? I don't think I'll mind paying for it to get programed for the mileage, and probably dont have a problem with the dealership doing it. I just like having my oil pressure, and voltage accessable.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm pretty sure it's a plug and play operation.
I also have the DIC in the left air vent cover. It came with a new vent cover and DIC for $100 at the dealer. The wiring plug was already there for it too. One of my most favoritest mods

so there is no reprogramming you just plug it in and it's ready to go? My truck already has it but a buddy of mine was asking me if he bought it if he had to take it in for programming?
