Default WT upgrades..

So my truck is a WT with the SL appearance package.. i ordered it that way to keep it affordable when i was in college, now i would like a few nice touches to be added, the guages for instance, can i purchase a 6 guage cluster and plug it into the harness where my 4 guage cluster resides and have them all function or will that not work, and could i install the factory trailer brake controler that is in the knee panel under the steering wheel or is there more to that too?? Ive already installed a leather steering wheel.. NICE... just doing little things as i can afford them.. I hope to recieve a 1-2 and super 4th trans servo for christmas as well as the DIC switch and panel..

Feedback is appreciated..

thanks

I am in the same boat as you. Got the WT with exterior upgrade. I can't help much with your questions but would also like to know the answer. As for the servo. Just get the Vette servo and get a tune.

Anyone have any ideas on the trailer brake situation?? Im really interested in that. I am getting ready to make a long haul with a heavy trailer and am going to be doing something for the brakes.. need to know if the factory one will work if so i am going to be getting one.. if not i need to get an aftermarket one..

Thanks

I think alot of that has to do with your rpo codes I think. Just like trying to add audio steering wheel controls. I would say just go with an aftermarket controller to avoid any headache and research

Yeah i probably will.. I do wish that i could find a console from an LTZ or whatever so that i could hide the controler in it.. They are like finding a needle in a hay stack.. Cant find one anywhere.. Im getting ready to order the kit to install power windows from AUTOLOC.. and going to do power locks at the same time.. so other than an audio upgrade i will then be done with the interior upgrades..

If anyone knows where they are hiding all the totaled New trucks in indiana let me know..

Thanks for the help..

as far as consoles. Make sure you get the right one. Ltz and denali pretty much have different interior than the regular interior. Door panels, cluster and dash are completely different. The consoles are similar but if you find one that looks like it will sit flush with dash, go for it. Other console has a hole at front will leave a small gap between console and dash.

The fancier interior reminds me of the one from my grandmothers buick lucerne

You can always have your dash pieces and door accents painted to match...

I didnt mean the LTZ ... Im really not sure which body trim level it is but i have found several 2500 and 1500 ext cab trucks with (our) dash and a full console.. Not sure which level it is.. Im pretty sure that the LTZ console will not fit.. Ive seen some that i thought would but i damn sure dont want to spend the money and have it look like

Anyone know the specific trim level that has this dash and a full console??
