I measured the tire mounted on the truck @ 32 1/4" and set the tune with that measurement. Thanks for your replies..

Iamkeniff,I think the 4.11's and converter will be a real KICK IN THE PANTS.This should help a little on gas mileage also??..??

Just curious why everyone is fearing lower gearing? He's running 33s which are not only larger they're also quite a bit heavier. I would run at least 4.30s.

i dunno...not everyone wants to run that gear. IMHO if i was to go from 3:42s to x:xx gear. i would pick the 4:30s simply bc i already went 4:10s and i run a tall tire anyways. just saying..... if you was to plan a taller tire (lift too of course) i would run 4:30s

Well I do alot of highway and have first hand experience how higher rpms kill my gas mileage. Plugging his 32.25 tires in at 70 with 4.10s vs 4.56s is 2100 to 2330 which is a pretty big jump imo. Plus if he gets a converter, that will move his heavy tires easily.

I wish I didn't do 4.10s, I went from 1900 to 2300 and lost 2mpg and it gets worse the faster I go.

my truck may just be different from everyone elses.

3:42s and 265/70/17s 20ish mpg highway
3:42s and 265/70/17s 13.3ish mph in city

4:10s and 265/70/17s 18-19ish mpg highway
4:10s and 265/70/17s 15-15.5ish mpg in city

6.2 with 228/236 112+2 cam 3200 converter

4:10s and 275/55/20s 19.2-19.5ish mph highway
4:10s and 275/55/20s 13-13.3ish mpg in city

now with a 3600 converter. i dont drive slow...and i dont ease around town. i like to play

I like that answer! EDIT: Get your 12 second truck club tag already!

With the 4 speed and 32"+ tires I would think the absolute minimum be 4.11s and I would strongly consider 4.30s.

I have the 6 speed (much lower first gear) with 32" tires and I'm still going 4.11s.

Double047,That's what I'm thinking.With 32.3" tires and a 4.10 it's running about 2090 rpms.With a 4.30 it's running 2192 rpms..Not alot of difference.
The figures above are for 70mph....J.H.
