Yeah they are big and look pretty strong. Had to replace one the other day. The truck had a small vibration at 55. Engineer said it was bad. Turns out it wasn't. Lol

Post some pics... I figured if anything they'd go to a 9.5 14B SF, they already made those.

there is a 9.5" and a 9.75" rear now. maybe the 14bolt got bigger on the inside and the 9.5" is a 12 bolt.

Looks like:

4.3 still uses the 8.625" diff
6.2 uses the 9.76"
5.3 uses the 9.5" unless its a 3.73 towing equipped truck, then it also gets the 9.76"

Both the 9.5 & 9.76 are 12 bolts and even share diff covers, axle shafts, & several bearings.

Yeah I went to my local dealership and dialed in the vin...found out it is 9.5
I got 342 gears on it n was looking to upgrade in the future so that held me a little...hope there is more parts available soon for the 12bolt

The 9.5" looks like a 9.5" 14 bolt with 2 bolts missing in the rear cover.... The 9.5" SF always did only have 12 bolts attaching the crown to the carrier. I would like to see one of these new ones opened up as it wouldn't surprise me if its not the same old 9.5" rear....
