Updated information is provided in “blue” text.
Issue:
Important: This issue impacts vehicles with LPO’s – PDQ, GAJ, VQZ and PDV.
Accessory exhaust tip part number 22911703 is currently released for vehicles equipped with 6.2L L86 engine.
The 6.2L L86 is produced with a 3.0” exhaust. Accessory exhaust tip part number 22911703 fits 3.5” exhaust.
A new 3.0” exhaust tip (part number 23435023) is being released for the 6.2L L86 exhaust. Initial inventory of the new part will be used to fill LPO sales only.
Solution:
New LPO accessory orders are being placed for exhaust tip p/n 23435023. The ADI’s will be shipping the new exhaust tip to the dealer for LPO installation. Dealers should install new exhaust tip part number 23435023 prior to delivery of vehicle to customer.

The accessory and parts catalogs are being updated to remove 6.2L L86 usage from part number 22911703.
DO NOT order or install part number 22911703 on 2014 LD Silverado and Sierra equipped with 6.2L L86 engines.

Just to update this thread, 6.2 exhaust size ...
between 3rd cat and muffler inlet, 3.5" piping
muffler outlet is 3 " and has a flapper valve in the tail pipe, about 6" of 3" then expands to 3.5" to the resonator and the tail spout is 3"
OE muffler is a far bit smaller than GMT900 as well,

Wa looking underneath lances 6.2 today and the y-pipe has to be hurting the flow of the exhaust....its mashed flat! Which is my 2011 is too...but I wish gm wouldn't mash them like they do and find a different way to keep te pipe open more...he's trying to figure out what he's gonna do with his exhaust...either electric cutout or muffler but he's had one with exhaust for the last 240,000 miles so he's prob like me and wants it quiet for a while! Lol

If you leave the stock cats in place,[no headers] they aren't too loud with a large body
Magnaflow.
I didn't measure the size of the y-pipe and cats, but it is big tubing, I don't think the flat spot is going to hurt much.
It is curious why they have different size tubing in the tail pipe though

I saw on another site where some guys pulled factory muffler off and it was a straight through design. Im also thinkn that my cab is alot more sound proof and may not get on my nerves as bad but Im still enjoying the quietness!! And the 6.2!!

I have cut open a gmt900 6.2 muffler and they have chambers and tubes. The resonator is straight thru
The second pic is the resonator and is straight thru with that spigot is for sound cancellation
