2014 sierra ac crapped out this morning
So my ac quit blowing cold when I started it up this morning.
All fuses seem good, the compressor spins, the fans work but do not come on with the ac and don't switch to high speed no high speed even after idling in the garage for 40 minutes. Driving down the road at 45mph I thought might help since the fan won't run on high, but that did not help.
I'm not sure if I'm still in warranty or not at 36,xxx miles purchased the truck in March 2014 at ron craft in Alvin
Not sure what else to check.

Not that it was a huge issue but an issue that was known, they ac line going to the compressor was known to crack and leak out all the freon.
You can google it and research the issue. I'd say either the compressor took a dump or something broke and let out all the freon.

dropped it off at the dealership, 300 miles out of warranty and they did not give a ****.
i owe at minimum 140 for them to diagnose, depending on what it is and how much i'll decide to do it myself or let them.
had to get my own rental car through enterprise, a GD Sonic.
moral of the story, never buy the first year of a new model without extended warranty i guess.

so it was the compressor hose that broke. they are replacing it and adding the extra support bracket. GM decided to partially cover it, since i was 400 miles past warranty. i still have to pay 100 bucks to get it fixed

Well at least it wasn't a big issue. I was at 62,000 km and my desided to take a crap while I was out of town. Dealer here was trying to tell me new motor was trying to tell me it's going to cost me 15Gs to replace it. **** that noise. Will be my last GM for sure.

Its always a good idea to establish a good relationship with the sales and service manager. If you are a return customer they are going to do all they can get away with for you. My sales manager is a facebook friend and we interact often. I promise you if I needed anything he would do something for me if possible as I would him. Sorry for your bad luck and by you posting this helps us all. It is appreciated. I guess I need to get a support bracket on mine soon huh?
