Good point. My 6.2 will get 20 on a highway-only trip if I keep the speed way down, 18 at 65-70, but if I cruise at 80-ish it drops into the 14s.

Your doing better than I am, my 2013 with 6.2 gets 18 at 55, 15-16 at 70 mph. I have never actually verified that the trucks fuel eco. display is correct though.

lol, I'm a numbers geek, so I do the math. FYI, the DIC has been less than half of one percent off over the 23,000 miles I've driven the truck since new.

What gears are you running?

I have a bb tuned 6.2 with the 3.42 gears and get 19 or so hwy at 55-60 near sea level and about 20-21 hwy in central oregon @ 60-65 (about 4k elevation). Interesting how higher elevation and hotter temps improve fuel economy...pretty sure it is just because the air is less dense in both cases.

Anyone else find it interesting the hp and tq #s for the 5.3 are significant...the 383 being a well known stroker engine size and the 355 being a bored out 350.

Thats the first thing i noticed.....

I made a couple trips to Texas in my truck. First time was goin to the South east texas meet and stayed at Silvermodo's house. averaged round trip of ~950 miles and a bottle of nitrous = 23mpg on 93 oct

Goin to DWF for a company training school i got 22mpg on the way over to there and 24mpg on the way home. Aired the tires up to 5psi below max and set the shocks on soft. Set the cruise on 70 and turned the radio up
on 87 oct

Check out this link I found for 12 minute video review of the cc 4x4 with the 5.3. I wasn't too impressed with the 8.78 second 0 to 60!
