Default 2016 RCSB L8T swap

Just received my new L8T crate engine from Scoggin dickey and will be swapping the 130k mile problem free L83 🙌 in my 16 single cab 2wd. I want to change the cam and considering the LT5 cam or even the infamous LT2 cam if and whenever available(I've called scoggin and gwatney about the lt2 cam--waiting) . Anyone done this swap yet? I will have to change the waterpump to the L83 pump, use my existing accessories, and delete the vacuum pump. Where does the brake booster connect to after the delete? I will be doing this swap Thanksgiving weekend if all goes well with work schedules. Got some time to gather and get educated to do this swap properly. Any useful suggestions are welcome,, TIA

Hot Dang! That's going to be a sweet truck.

There's a guy on the Tahoe Yukon forum that swapped one in a Suburban or Tahoe/Yukon. Let me see if I can find that thread.

Not sure what to do with the current 6L80e, new billet converter or a 6L90e converter? I don't plan on truly racing this truck for at least a few more years and my wife daily drives it. Need this stocker to survive. We did upgrade the rear differential with a stock 9.76 w/ 3.73s last fall and most recently a CF driveshaft from PST. So, converter and cam suggestions or any L8T updates(this one is a 2024 crate)

130k miles? That's around the time they start having issues. Definitely replace the torque converter. Go with an aftermarket unit that has that thicker clutch material. I don't remember the specs off the top of my head.

I would be tempted to just get the transmission overhauled addressing all the known weak/failure points with aftermarket improved designs if you really want it to last longer and have the budget. But that will add another $5-$6k (?)

Yes, roughly 130k miles, maybe 70k tuned with v4 disabled. I've not abused it red-headed style but for one burnout, so shift points are flawless and crisp (trans tune seriously woke this truck up). Even done a few fluid dumps and top offs(added a drain plug to the pan). My plans are to have my favorite local rebuilder refreshen/update the unit...problem is local is 3k miles away😅 I gotta get this swap done before moving back home rather than drag the new engine back across country. Just praying I can keep the trans alive with more cubes up front and buy some time until I get it back to the east coast(auto transport, not driving a single cab across country again&#128540.

If not a stock 6L90e converter, is CircleD still the go to for aftermarket or is there other latest and greatest manufacturers I should consider?

Just get a circle d billet converter in a 11.5” and roll on. I have found a great 6l80 builder if you’re interested. He is in Wilmington NC.
